John Deere Hood & Fuel Door Kit. LVA10863 – Fuel Door – 1. LVU11500 – Spring – 2. LVU12063 – Hood – 1. M133917 – Bumper – 2. BJD57 consists of OEM John Deere parts. DIRECTIONS TO INSTALL THE FUEL DOOR. Put the door on before you install the hood on the tractor. Long nosed mini needle nose pliers work the best. The left spring of the fuel door hole is closest to you, so this is the one you want to do first. You need to flip the hood upside down on a bed or table with the fuel door end closest to you. Put the fuel door in position and put the left spring in the holes in the fuel door from the middle towards the outer edge. Take your needle nose pliers and grab the top arm of the spring and rest the needle nose on the coiled spring as a leverage point to get the hook of the spring up in the hole. You need to go in the 1/2 ” to 3/4 ” hole with the spring and it comes out towards the middle of the opening. The door may pop out of position. This is fine, because once you get the spring on, you can reach under the hood and pull it back in place. For the right side, you install the spring in the same direction as the left. The upper spring gets put over the lip of the hood.
