Here’s a good complete 1991 Craftsman 524 snowblower Track drive and transmission. This assembly may fit other Craftsman and Noma models, so please check your applications. See pic 1 for model id. The transmission spins out well. It engages well with a good friction disk and a very good rubber contact wheel. There is very little rust on this unit. The hex shaft is in good shape. Good bearings all around with tought chains engaging the nice sprocket gears. The belt pullies still spin out well with a little bit of inner wheel rust common to these. This track drive still worked strongly on the blower. The track drives still turn pretty well with good strong drive tracks. I did not detect deep cracking, cuts, or high wear on them. These tracks are tough, belted units and should work well for snow seasons to come. The chassis still looks good cosmetically as well. The chassis kick petal adjustment still engages very well. Not much for rust. Pretty dry here in the high desert of Colorado, and brutal rust-out isn’t much of a problem here. These complete tranny/track drives are getting harder to find in good workable condition anymore. This a quick solution to one that is brutally rusted or worn out! These make fun robot drives as well–heavy duty! Please lube prior to use. Look for more good snowblower parts in my other auctions. Please look at the pictures. Ask any questions that you might have.
